Even if we present Jesus Christ as our candidate in 2028, we would still lose - Kennedy Agyapong tells NPP to do the right thing
Firebrand politician Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has delivered a scathing warning to the New Patriotic Party (NPP), saying that not even Jesus Christ as a presidential candidate could save the party in 2028 if it fails to address the root causes of its 2024 electoral defeat.
“If you don’t solve those problems, you can bring Jesus Christ as your presidential candidate even from today, we still can’t win,” Agyapong declared.
The former legislator criticized the party for rushing into internal elections without first accounting for the reasons behind its loss, questioning whether vague explanations like “expansion” are enough.
“All we know is Mike Ocquaye came to brief us and said expansion. So are we saying because of expansion that is why we lost miserably? We have not answered that.”
