Please reset Agradaa's sentence to just two years – Afia Tagor begs Mahama

Popular Ghanaian media personality Afia Tagor has made a passionate appeal to President John Dramani Mahama, urging him to consider a reduction in the 15-year jail sentence handed to controversial evangelist Patricia Asiedua, popularly known as Nana Agradaa.

Speaking in a viral social media video, Afia Tagor pleaded with the President to include Agradaa in what she described as the "national reset agenda," stressing that a significantly shorter sentence would be more appropriate.

"We are begging you to reset Agradaa's jail term as part of the wider national reset agenda. We would accept two years or even one and a half years like that," she said.

Agradaa was recently sentenced by the Circuit Court in Accra for defrauding by false pretence and engaging in charlatanic advertisement.

The conviction followed her 2022 televised claim that she could double money for her followers — a scam that led to financial losses for many victims.
