A Ghanaian living in Israel has offered an update on the safety of Ghanaians in the country as tensions between Israel and Iran escalate.
Speaking to Onua TV, the individual, who chose to remain anonymous, confirmed that no Ghanaian casualties have been reported.
He explained that Israel’s advanced emergency systems, including underground bomb shelters, have helped protect residents during missile attacks.
“Those affected are usually people who don’t reach the shelters in time or are asleep when the missiles strike,” he noted.
Interestingly, he expressed no intention of returning to Ghana, despite evacuation plans by the Ghanaian government. “We actually feel safer here than in Ghana,” he said.
He also shared video footage showing debris from a nearby explosion, capturing the impact of the conflict while highlighting the sense of security provided by Israel’s civil defense systems.
