Don't Buy A Car When You Are Still Renting - Kwaku Manu To The Youth
Kumawood actor Kwaku Manu has weighed in on the spending habits of today’s youth, urging them to prioritize investments like land over extravagant lifestyles.
In an interview with Zionfelix, he stated, “The youth today tend to overspend.
"For example, if someone spends GH¢5,000 every weekend, Friday to Sunday, just think of the amount of money they’re wasting, yet they don’t even own a plot of land.”
Kwaku Manu further questioned the logic behind certain purchases, especially cars, for individuals who are still renting. “Before buying a car, think it through.
And if you still decide to buy one while renting, don’t purchase a car that costs more than the building you're living in,” he advised.
The actor also commented on debates about luxury spending, referencing the recent GH¢18,000 curtain controversy.
While acknowledging its high cost, he defended it as acceptable for those who can afford it, saying, “Sometimes, we need to be more patient with what we say on social media.”
